VEGAN CAMPAIGNER (0:31s)

<AUDIO>

A campaigner from the Birmingham Vegan Advocacy has challenged the West Midlands Police actions yesterday, after a bull was shot and killed.

The bull was on rampage and had forced Monkspath Junior and Infant school to go on lockdown. He was tracked to the M42 where he was fatally shot due to an increased danger to the public.

Vegan Campaigner, Eleonar Bryant, said that this wasn’t the best solution:

[IN WORDS: I like, I just think
OUT WORDS: Frightened of us

TERRORISM TRAINING (0:46s)

<AUDIO>

West Midlands police have spent the weekend carrying out major training exercises and putting terrorist prevention bollards in the Bullring and Grand Central.

The UK threat level remains at severe, which means that an attack is highly likely.

We asked people at the bullring shopping centre to see if the public feel safer with the measures that are currently put in place:

[IN WORDS: Erm, not really
OUT WORDS: It more obvious

LOCKDOWN AND RAIDS (0:51s)

<AUDIO>

Six gang members involved in organized crime were arrested last night in relation to a wave of shootings in the city.

West Midlands Police carried our ‘lockdowns’ and raids in seven different areas including Winson Green, Aston and Small Heath.

Four cars have been seized along with an air rifle, a lock knife and class A drugs. One man was arrested for possession with the intent to supply. Another man was arrested for driving without insurance and with stolen number plates.

Superintendent for West Midlands Police, Phil Dolby, said that these areas are being prioritised and need more attention:

[IN WORDS: Birmingham unfortunately is
OUT WORDS: Officers to adopt
DURATION: 0’24”]
