Good afternoon I'm Sam de Boer, its 4 o'clock and this is the latest news in Birmingham on Tuesday afternoon.
<COPY> Birmingham is one of many British cities where inhaling outdoor air is considered too dangerous, a report has shown.
Diesel-powered vehicles were one of the "key drivers" of poor air quality in towns and cities in the UK, said Dr Hillman, one of the report's authors.
Exposure to the particles should not exceed 10 micrograms per cubic metre of air but in Birmingham, the annual average is 14 micrograms per metre.
Birmingham City Council acknowledges the problem and wants to decrease diesel emissions by creating new Clean Air Zones.
These are areas were action is taken to improve air quality by making drivers pay to enter the area if their vehicle is too polluting.
The plan is expected to be ready in 2018. ================================================================

Detective Inspector Ian Wilkins has said:
"Nidal (AL-BORE-AKE-EY) Alboraiki then callously left the scene knowing he had seriously injured someone and went to great lengths to cover his tracks".

My contribution:
For this bulletin, I contributed the hit and run murder story and the organised crime raid story. I had sourced and edited the audio from West Midland Police website myself using adobe audition. Unfortunately, there were issues with audio again in the production of this bulletin but I corrected this for submission of my individual story.
Regrettably, there were also disagreements on the running order for this bulletin as Kasia and I stated the murder story was more significant than the international air pollution story. The pollution story should have been further down in the running order, however, this was overlooked by the rest of the group.
Working in groups for these production days has taught me that it is essential to ensure everyone is working together and that communication is key. Although contribution and commitment was not entirely equal, I feel as though our team still managed to produce decent bulletins for submission in the end.
